ABOUT KAYLA

Kayla is a NYC/Chicago-based artist and the creator of Call Me Elizabeth, a one-woman show about the early life of Elizabeth Taylor. Following its sold-out Off-Broadway engagement at 59E59 Theaters, the show enjoyed a critically acclaimed, sold-out run at the 2023 Edinburgh Festival Fringe. The play enjoyed a live world premiere in the 2022 Hollywood Fringe Festival after premiering as a film during the pandemic via Broadway On Demand, Porchlight Music Theatre, and Edinburgh Festival Fringe.

A member of Actors’ Equity Association, Kayla’s performance credits include productions at Chicago Shakespeare Theater, Drury Lane Theatre, Porchlight Music Theatre, Mercury Theater Chicago, Music Theater Works, Fireside Theatre, Capital City Theatre, BrightSide Theatre, Citadel Theatre, Bigfork Summer Playhouse, The Huron Playhouse, The Youngstown Playhouse, and, most recently, City Lit Theater (Winnie in Samuel Beckett’s Happy Days.) She is represented by BMG Talent.

Kayla holds a Bachelor of Arts from Youngstown State University and proudly serves as a founding member of the Artistic Council of the Sarah Siddons Society, which acts as conduit between the Sarah Siddons Society Board of Governors, recent Sarah Siddons Society scholarship recipients, and professional members of the Chicago-area theatre community to offer mentoring, networking and career guidance opportunities.
